Top Street Style Looks- Spring/Summer 2018

Spring/Summer Fashion | Street Style

So begins the transition of changing your outfits from thick winter clothes to lighter ones. The transition however doesn’t mean snapping out of style. Let’s look into some fashion formulas to try out this spring and summer.

1. Logomania
Maximalism is clearly back in fashion. Logos have made a comeback this summer. They’re cooler than ever, and we can’t help but love oversized logos on bags, belts, jackets and t-shirts. Come out in this white logo print shirt from Gucci, green military pants with red side stripe from ASOS, red booties, and Gucci silk bandana. Look as sleek as Hailey Baldwin.

2. Checks Up
It’s official. Plaid and ginghams are not checking out this Spring/Summer 2018. Check prints have an all-year-round use which makes it a major fashion investment. These power-print pieces have the long-game in view. A perfect example is Balenciaga’s cotton combination shirt, wool skirt, and boots.

3. Bold Crayola
Bring back the saturation in your life this season with bright, primary colors. There’s no better way to show the world that you’re on top of it than corresponding colors. Stand out like Blake Lively when she showed up to the Michael Kors show in her electric red leather jacket.  This for sure will make heads turn.

4. Timeless Trench
The trench coat is undoubtedly a classic. Worn by everyone from Jackie O to Rihanna, it knows no limits of occasion or season—and leaves room for designers to get creative. Here’s some inspiration from Zendaya: a red tracksuit with trench coat and heels.

5. Flower Power
On the runways, there has been a resurgence of florals that look super vintage-- the kind of print women wore in the '40s and '50s. Floral dresses are a surefire seller, so it's no great wonder that savvy brands are reimagining them within their individual aesthetics.

6. Sheer Season
Spring is the season for transparency and that means that bras and knickers are on show almost everywhere you look. The use of sheer and semi-sheer materials is one of the most prevalent applications this season, seen in the form of paneling and all-over. Lightweight chiffons and organzas look delicate, and definitely add a modern edge. Dua Lipa’s new rule is sheer!

7. Spot the Dots
Polka dots continue to be worn by the best dressed. Most notably, the pattern featured on the designer runways in a monochromatic colorway. Keep it monochrome and cool to avoid looking like a 1950s housewife! Try a red polka dots dress with a belt bag just like Alessandra Ambrosio at Coachella 2018.

Spring offers your wardrobe a chance for growth and reimaginiation. There are so many great options to choose from. Go out pick your next look now!
